羅漢十三式气功 · 13 Luohan Style Qi Gong

羅漢十三式气功 · 13 Luohan Style Qi Gong

A „Luohan“ is regarded as the original follower of Gautama Buddha who has followed the Noble Eightfold Path and attained the four stages of enlightenment. He has reached the state of Nirvana and is free of worldly cravings - the craving for sensual pleasures, earthly existence, ignorance and wrong views - are gone. He is subject to no more rebirths and karma. Shaolin Luohan Style Qi Gong (Shi San Shi Luohan) is a set of 13 postures/movements that was developed by Shaolin Monks, after contemplating and imitating different forms and expressions of Luohan (Arhat) statues in the monastery. It belongs to the classic repertoire of Qi Gong exercises in the Shaolin Arts around the globe. In comparison to the 8 brocades (Ba Duan Jin), the Muscle and Tendon Transformation Excercises (Yi Jin Jing) and the meditative circular movements (Chan Yuan Gong), the movements in this set can also practically be applied for martial application. Together with the other Qi Gong sets, this routine develops a strong foundation to remain powerfully calm and aware. The postures names are: 1. Old Monk Chopping Wood · Lao Seng Pi Chai 2. Luohan Draping Coat · Luo Han Pi Yi 3. Lazy Monk Liying on Pillow · Lan Seng Wo Zhen 4. Double Hands Pushing Mountain · Shuang Shou Tui Shan 5. Wind Swinging Lotus Leaves · Feng Bai He Ye 6. Luohan Carrying the Flag · Luo Han Qi Ba 7. Cloud Hands 7 Star · Yun Shou Qi Xing 8. Tiger Hugging Head · Hu Bao Tou 9. Rolling Hand Pushing Palm · Gun Shou Tui Chang 10. Luohan Sifts Flour · Luo Han Luo 11. White Snake Spits Center · Bai She Tu Xin 12. One Hand Inserts Incense Stick · Dan Shou Cha Xiang 13. Every year there are several retreats that are taking place in the Shaolin Temple Europe 歐洲少林寺, the monastery where I am living. A retreat can either be a 3-day Retreat (Friday - Sunday) or a 6-day Retreat (Monday - Saturday). Every retreat is held under a specific topic, such as: Gong Fu, Qi Gong (e.g. Ba Duan Jin, Yi Jin Jing, 13 Luohan), Meditation retreats and Rou Quan retreats.
